What information does the official PNG visa status checker use?
The current eVisa Approval Status Check asks for the applicant's passport number and nationality.
Should I enter my application reference number?
The public status checker currently does not ask for one. Keep your reference and receipt for records or ICA enquiries, but use passport number and nationality for the official approval lookup.
Could a failed payment cause the application to be missing?
Yes. ICA states that the visa fee must be paid before the application is automatically submitted. Check whether you received the official payment receipt email.
Is a pending card transaction proof that ICA received my application?
No. Look for the ICA portal receipt and application record. A banking authorization alone does not prove successful application submission.
Can I just lodge a second application?
It is safer to trace the original first. If the original payment succeeded, a duplicate could create unnecessary cost or conflicting records.
What if I used a different email address?
Sign into the account associated with the email used during registration. Search your inboxes for ICA verification and receipt messages if you are unsure which address was used.
What if I renewed my passport after applying?
The public checker searches against passport details attached to the application. Use the original application details when tracing the record, then contact ICA for instructions about the replacement passport.
Who should I contact if nothing works?
Use the official ICA contact/enquiry page and provide enough application, passport and payment details for the authority to trace the file.
