PNG Digital Arrival Card Help & Traveller Support

Use this page when the Papua New Guinea Digital Arrival Card will not submit, your travel details changed, or you cannot find your confirmation. It separates quick self-help steps from the official Immigration and Citizenship Services Authority support channels.

Official servicePNGDAC is free to submit.
Before boardingComplete the card before your boarding pass is issued.
Not a visaYour visa or entry permit remains a separate requirement.

Start here: identify the problem before contacting support

Most PNGDAC problems fall into one of four groups: a detail needs correcting, the confirmation is missing, the form will not submit, or you are close to departure and need official assistance. ICA provides an online update function, downloadable confirmation documents and a dedicated PNGDAC email address. citeturn0search1turn0search14

Travelling soon?

Since the ICA public notice of 6 August 2026, the PNGDAC is a mandatory pre-arrival requirement for PNG citizens, permanent residents and foreign nationals, and travellers are required to complete it before a boarding pass is issued. Do not plan to rely on fixing an unresolved card only after landing. citeturn0search3

Official PNGDAC support contacts

For a problem that cannot be resolved through the portal, use the PNG Immigration and Citizenship Services Authority's published channels. The dedicated PNGDAC address is the most relevant first contact for arrival-card issues. Air Niugini also directs PNGDAC questions to this address. citeturn0search2turn0search14

Quick self-help for common PNGDAC problems

I entered the wrong flight, hotel or travel date

Do not create another card simply because one field changed. ICA provides an Update PNGDAC function for previously submitted records.

  1. Open the official PNGDAC portal.
  2. Select Update PNGDAC.
  3. Enter the requested search information.
  4. Edit and review the record.
  5. Submit the update and save the new confirmation.

ICA specifically lists flight details, travel dates, accommodation and personal information as examples of fields that can be amended. citeturn0search1turn0search14

The confirmation email has not arrived

First check Spam, Junk, Promotions and any mail filtering used by your provider. Confirm that the email address entered on the card was correct.

The official traveller guide says PNGDAC documents are provided by email or download. Return to the official portal and use the available update/retrieval workflow to locate your submitted record and save the document. citeturn0search14

The form will not submit

  • Recheck required fields for missing answers.
  • Confirm passport and travel details match your documents.
  • Retry on a stable connection and a current browser.
  • Take a screenshot of the exact error message before refreshing.

VisaPNG does not publish unofficial browser, file-size or device limits as if they were ICA rules. Follow any technical restriction displayed by the live official portal.

I submitted twice

Keep the confirmation for the record containing your correct and current travel information. If you are unsure which submission is active, contact PNGDAC support rather than guessing at check-in.

ICA states that when a submitted card is amended, the most recent information is used for official processing. citeturn0search1

What to save after a successful submission

ICA's guidance tells travellers to submit their personal, travel and declaration details, receive the PNGDAC document by email or download, and present the confirmation with their passport for immigration processing. PNGDAC is free and is separate from any visa requirement. citeturn0search0turn0search14

Keep availableWhy it matters
PNGDAC confirmation/documentEvidence that the digital arrival declaration was completed.
Passport used for the submissionThe arrival-card record is tied to the traveller's identity and travel details.
Updated confirmation after changesHelps you present the latest travel information if flight or accommodation details changed.
Separate visa/entry permit, if requiredThe PNGDAC itself does not grant permission to enter PNG.

Can airport staff fix a PNGDAC problem?

Air Niugini says check-in and boarding teams remind passengers about the PNGDAC requirement, but the airline's published guidance does not promise that staff can repair a failed submission or manually override the requirement. The safest approach is to complete and verify the card before travelling to the airport. citeturn0search2

About airport kiosks

Older ICA guidance describes self-registration kiosks at Jacksons International Airport for travellers who had not completed the card online. A newer ICA directive dated 6 August 2026 requires completion before boarding-pass issuance. Because the newer instruction governs pre-departure processing, travellers should not depend on an arrival kiosk as their normal fallback. citeturn0search0turn0search3

What to include when asking ICA for help

  1. Identify the traveller.
Give the full passport name and passport-issuing country. Do not post passport details publicly on social media.
  2. State the travel timing.
Include your planned PNG arrival date and flight number where available, especially if departure is close.
  3. Describe the exact failure.
Quote the error text and say which stage failed: opening the form, verification, submission, update or confirmation retrieval.
  4. Attach a useful screenshot.
Crop it to the relevant error and remove unrelated personal information where possible.
  5. Explain what you already tried.
This helps support avoid sending you back through steps that have already failed.

PNGDAC help: frequently asked questions

Can I change my PNGDAC after submitting it?

Yes. ICA's Update PNGDAC feature is designed for corrections and changes before travel, including flight, accommodation, date and personal-information amendments. citeturn0search1

How early can I submit?

ICA and Air Niugini describe submission up to 72 hours before arrival. The current 2026 ICA directive also requires the card to be completed before boarding-pass issuance. citeturn0search2turn0search3

Do I pay for PNGDAC support or submission?

The official PNGDAC service is free. Be cautious of third-party pages that imply the government arrival card itself carries a mandatory application fee. citeturn0search0

Does completing PNGDAC mean my visa is approved?

No. ICA explicitly states that PNGDAC is not a visa. Visa eligibility and entry-permit requirements must be handled separately. citeturn0search0
