Can an airline issue my boarding pass before PNGDAC is completed?
The official 6 August 2026 ICSA notice says travellers must complete PNGDAC before the issuance of their boarding passes.
Is the 72-hour rule before departure or before arrival?
The official PNGDAC FAQ says the form should be submitted within 72 hours before arriving in Papua New Guinea, including the date of arrival.
Does PNGDAC cost money?
No. ICA states that the PNG Digital Arrival Card is free of charge.
Do children need PNGDAC?
The requirement applies to all persons entering Papua New Guinea. Families can use group submission, with up to 10 entries in one submission.
Must I print the PNGDAC confirmation?
ICA says the confirmation is sent by email and can be downloaded or printed. A paper copy is a useful backup but is not described as the sole acceptable form.
Does the confirmation have to contain a QR code?
Use the official confirmation generated by the live system. ICA's public guidance does not describe a QR code as the only universal proof format.
Can I update PNGDAC after submission?
Yes. ICA provides an update function for corrections or changes before travel, including flight details, travel dates, accommodation and personal information.
Can I use one PNGDAC for multiple trips?
No. The official FAQ says a PNGDAC is valid for one-time travel on the expected arrival date entered in the submission.
