Entry certificate rule
PNG uses yellow fever vaccination as an entry-control measure
CDC's current Papua New Guinea guidance says yellow fever vaccination is not recommended for travel to PNG itself. However, PNG requires a yellow fever vaccination certificate for travellers aged 1 year or older arriving from countries where there is a risk of yellow fever virus transmission.
The document used for international proof is the International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP). It records a valid yellow fever vaccination administered according to the International Health Regulations.
