ICA states that an Entry Permit holder must enter PNG within six months of the permit being issued.
If you miss the window
If you do not enter within six months, the permit becomes invalid and another application is required.

ICA's current Easy Visitor Permit class instructions list a copy of the valid passport biodata page as the stated supporting document for the 30-day route, and the live visitor-class guidance should be used as the final checklist for the 60-day route.
The supplied draft treats a separate applicant photo, three months of bank statements, a US$1,500–2,000 balance, hotel vouchers, a CMO cover letter and a paid return ticket as universal mandatory uploads. Current ICA public guidance reviewed here does not support presenting all of those as blanket requirements for every U.S. Easy Visitor application.

1. Choose the visitor class
Decide whether your itinerary fits the 30-day or 60-day Easy Visitor route.
2. Use the official ICA eVisa portal
Create or access your profile and select the appropriate visitor class for a United States passport.
3. Enter passport data carefully
Keep the name, passport number, nationality, birth date and expiry details consistent with the passport used for travel.
4. Upload what the live class requests
Follow the actual on-screen checklist rather than a generic third-party upload bundle.
5. Review the fee before payment
The Easy Visitor route currently attracts a US$50 online lodgement fee.
6. Verify the approval
Check that the issued permit matches your passport, visitor class and intended trip.
Printed approval
Carry a printed backup—but do not describe it as a universal hard-copy-only law
Useful backup
A printed copy is sensible in case your phone is unavailable, the battery dies or airline staff want to inspect the approval.
Keep an offline digital copy
Save the permit locally rather than depending on mobile data at the airport.
Current public guidance
The ICA material reviewed here does not establish a universal rule that every traveller with only a digital copy must be refused boarding.
Return / onward travel
Keep an exit itinerary ready, but do not call it a universal mandatory upload
ICA's general FAQ says that in some circumstances an applicant may be asked to provide evidence of return travel as part of the visa process.
For U.S. visitors, it is still sensible to keep a confirmed return or onward booking available and ensure it falls within the permitted stay, but the official general guidance does not support saying every Easy Visitor application is automatically refused without a paid ticket upload.
Business travel for Americans
Do not use an Easy Visitor Permit for corporate activity that requires a business class
Short corporate visit
ICA publishes a Business Short-Term Single Entry route for qualifying business travel.
Recurring corporate travel
The current Business Short-Term Multiple Entry class is valid for 12 months and permits up to 60 days from each arrival.
Local work requires another visa
Visitor and business permissions do not automatically authorize paid local employment in PNG.
