What a refusal means
Refusal is different from cancellation, removal or a permanent ban
An application refusal happens before the requested Entry Permit is granted. By contrast, ICA's separate Entry Permit Cancellation rules apply when a permit has already been issued and is later cancelled on grounds such as criminal conduct, unlawful work, illegal business activity, lack of financial means, health risk or national-security concerns.
This distinction matters because a refused applicant should work from the actual refusal notice rather than assume the consequences that apply to cancellation, detention or removal.
